In order to focus on continuing quality improvement, Northbound has adopted the SIX SIGMA philosophy to quality management in our Information Technology Solutions business and is establishing quantifiable quality standards for our programmer-developer teams.

Northbound’s Six Sigma Quality Team ensures the following:
- All Northbound consultants have the following attributes:
- Strong Technical skills in their areas of expertise. This is achieved by very intense technical recruiting.
- Strong inter-personal and managerial skills.
- Creativity, which adds value to our clients' business.
- Good understanding of the clients' core business, achieved either by previous experience in a similar field or through in-house training by other consultants with prior experience in a similar field.
- Knowledge transfers to Team Leaders, by means of thorough documentation and team meetings. This enables Northbound to offer maintenance contracts, and relieves the client of the responsibility of trouble-shooting, maintenance and any eventual upgrades.
- Quality control of the following aspects of the programmed code:
- Code documentation.
- Code efficiency.
- Code accuracy.
- Consultant Rotation - Consultants are rotated to perform different tasks of the development cycle. This ensures overall development of the consultants both technically and managerially.
- Commitments to deliver on time - Consultants understand the clients' need to meet their schedule and have a very strong commitment to always deliver products on time.
